How were you able to use the tools and principles that we learned in your set design?
I used one of the visual elements of set design. This includes things like lines, points, shapes, mass and volume. I used these to design my set design. They determined how the overall look of the set would be.
What style did you choose to use, and why? Were you successful? Why or why not?
I used the style realism because my story was a simple story with a big moral to it hence, it didn't need anything fancy or mysterious. I believed that realism was appropriate. I was successful but to only some extent because we didn't paint our sets which would have made my set model many times more realistic.
What principles of design did you use? How do they focus your design?
I used the principles balance and proportion in my set design. I used balance to spread out the set pieces evenly across my stage. I used proportion to make sure that my model was the right size in accordance to the ratio.

My inspiration helped my design. My inspiration helped me decide what set pieces I wanted to put in my play. It also helped me decide
Is your set design effective for the play? Why or why not?
I think that my set design is effective for my play because it was made well and it contains everything and matches the description of what was written in the play. However, it could have been more effective if I painted my model.
How does your set work? How does it work as a space (you may have to imagine it as a reality) Is it effective for the action that needs to occur on stage? Why or why not?
My set is a pullman's car. on each side of the stage, there is a door and a wall as if we were really on a pullman's car. I also have chairs, tables and a place to put luggage.
How could your set impact the actors?
My set could help the actors become their character. It could also positively change their perspective about acting.
How does your set impact the viewer?
My set could teach the viewers some good morals about life. Since, love is a topic that many people struggle with, my set and play could help them.
How does your set help in telling the story of the play?
Since I made my set exactly the same as the play described it, it would make the play seem more realistic and add more emotions to it. We would also get a better grasp of what the characters were feeling.
What are some areas that could use improvement?
Some of the areas that could use improvements was that I could have made my set pieces fancier with some coloured paper.

My areas of strength were cutting the styrofoam neatly and keeping the scale the same.

In the past, when I saw a play, I would often criticize because I thought that they were being sloppy. I didn't know how hard making a production was. However, now I do and I know how hard it is and I respect the people for working so hard to make a production.
